When men talk of women and girls in terms of legal/not legal, what they’re really saying is “I already sexually objectify this child and would attempt to fuck her if there were no laws in the way.”

You can’t deny that is fucking scary.

A message:

I think a post on how to install a statcounter/IP tracking/IP blocking would be EXTREMELY useful (in the resources tag). Just this week, myself and several other bloggers had to install one. Or a general post on how to “augment” our safety, since our safety often comes under fire.”

Does anyone have a tutorial/resource for IP blocking? I use statcounter myself, but don’t know much about blocking people from your page. I think there was a script that redirected IPs when you entered them?

Any help would be appreciated!

We now have an F.A.Q. and a tags page!

(I only got it done so quickly because there was so little.)

a reply:

A resources tag would work well. IDR if there is one currently.

I was thinking of a resources tag since we’ve posted a few lists and such. If anyone else thinks of something, send a message. I’ll start working on the resources tag now (lucky we only have a couple hundred posts).

I’ve gone through and added tags to all the messages we’ve gotten on this blog so far. You can find them under /tagged/ask.

My question is, would you all like a tagging system to be implemented somehow? Would that be helpful in any way? I only tagged asks because it seems that we’ve gotten a couple of questions that have already been answered, but people might not wanna go through the archives. Simple tags like “sexism,” books,” etc?

Let me know!

Edit: And I’m going to add an F.A.Q. page. Only a couple questions for now, but maybe it will be helpful.

Anonymous asked: Hey, so I'm a cis, queer, white, able-bodied woman and I'm a feminist and I love this blog, it's important and it's brilliant. The thing is though, the last few posts have made me feel like I shouldn't be here, like I should just keep my mouth shut and stop campaigning. I know, I know, poor little white girl, but it is upsetting when I really want this to be a world where no wave actually is a big deal. I would be interested in hearing your views on this?

Hello! Sorry about the late response (That goes for everyone that’s messaged us, some of you sent questions similar to this one). There’s basically just been one mod posting to this blog while I (Félix, that is) was away due to my computer being busted, and she’s left tumblr, and Neeah’s been busy. So, I’ll just give my thoughts on this, and maybe Neeah will want to jump in later?

The thing is, Neeah has said that she doesn’t want it to seem like white cis able-bodied women are excluded from no wave feminism, but that she doesn’t want the focus to be on just them. I’ve seen quite a few white women with “no wave feminist” in their descriptions here on tumblr, and I know Neeah is happy that her idea has actually become A Thing. I know there are things that have been posted to this blog that at first can seem harsh to white women and some of them are — rightfully so. To me, no wave feminism is a way of letting those trans/queer/disabled women of color say those harsh truths, because mainstream feminism never let them. I’m not white, but there have been times where I’ve read something and thought “Well that’s a little much…” but I pull myself back and look at it from whoever wrote it’s point of view, and I often realize I only think it’s harsh because I’ve been shielded from thinking about it all these years. So what I would say is that go ahead and keep promoting no wave feminism, but when you should, step back and let the trans/queer/disabled/women of color speak, because sometimes you do need to keep your mouth shut and let people talk for themselves. That’s something I’m still learning to do here.
If you’d like, you can message me off anonymous at nowavefeminismmod.tumblr.com. It’s just a blog I made so I can keep modding here while I delete my old main blog. It’s just got a description and an ask box, so everything will be private.

p.s. I still think Neeah’s original post she made before this blog came  into fruition is a good place to go when you’re unsure about whether you should be…centering yourself?…in discussions on no wave feminism.
